Roc Nation is an entertainment company in America founded by Jay Z. The company came into existence through American rapper Jay Z and Live Nation in 2008. Since then the companies record label wing (distributed by Universal Music Group) has signed, recorded and produced stars such as Rita Ora, Alexis Jordan, J.Cole and K.Koke.

Roc Nation has had huge success through synergising with an array of companies. Such as the Universal Music Group, who have helped in creating music videos, market the products and sell copies of singles and albums across the globe. Making huge profits and giving listeners around the globe high quality material.

When creating Music Videos Roc Nation go to directors who focus on music videos for example Anthony Mandler or Marc Klasfeld. Anthony Mandler for example directed Holy Grail by Jay Z, before directing this Anthony Mandler had directed music videos of the similar genre for example She by Tyler The Creator.

Roc Nation is able to distribute the music video onto TV channels, websites and social networks through Universal Music Group. Roc Nation are a limited liability company meaning Roc Nation is in a flexible partnership with Universal Music Group enabling. Being a limited liability company does not mean they are a corporation as they are supporting its parent company, that being Universal Music Group. This partnership enables Roc Nation to get its products across the globe and make money for its subsidiary.
