Todorov - My music video

Equilibrium: The world lives with different religions which are mostly accepted except wars are found across the world where people are fighting for their religious views. The environment before the news, is not shown in the music video, however it would like normal everyday life. The text at the start will give a premise setting the scenes (sort of) enabling the audience to understand that this is directly after the news has begun.

Disruption to the equilibrium: The meaning of life is found and the world is trying to accept or possibly reject the truth. The disruption causes the character to feel depressed in seeing his belief and faith torn from him and make his whole life feel wasted, as he believes in a lie. This is what causes him to lose himself.

Recognition to the Disruption to the equilibrium: My main character recognises the problem that the truth has revealed as he reads the newspapers. Images of the character reading the newspaper can be connoted through close ups of the headlines giving details away on what’s going on. The camera can then go to the face of the main character to show his reaction to the news. Quick changes in the camera can be done to serve the idea that the character is panicking, rushing and confused. Possibly not accepting the news.

An Attempt to repair the equilibrium: The guy can’t live in a world where what he believes is false so he commits suicide and to be with his wife. The character will have close ups of his face and expressions that are created when trying to come to terms with the news. Shaky shots on the face to show confusing and panic plus first person shots can connote isolation through being set in a forest.

A reinstatement of the equilibrium: No longer lives in the world where what he believed all his life is true.Straight after the death the camera will reverse all footage to reveal what had happened prior to the events just seen. I’m planning of overlaying words to give further understanding if the audience is confused in what is going on. Footage will be reversed to give the impression everything is being re-winded.
