The lighting for the music video’s forest scene will be done through natural light through it will be too difficult to bring lighting into the forest. The table with all the newspapers will be done with light that is not from above otherwise a shadow will be cast through the camera man, from the light will be above on the ceiling. Instead the camera will be either at an angle meaning the light cannot cast a shadow, or the lighting will be placed somewhere else using a lamp to enabling the camera to look straight down in a bird’s eye view.
The forest scene will use natural light as the forest is dependent on natural light in real life. Although I would have to be careful in making sure a shadow of the cameraman does not appear on screen. The shadows can play to my advantage through using the trees shadows all around to present a feeling or emotion to the audience for example a dark shadow over a main character can represent to sadness or a dark side to a character.
All of the filming will take pace in day time meaning the camera will be able to focus clear. Having a clear lighting is essential in filming as during editing I will make the whole film black and white which makes its slightly harder for the audience to view things meaning due to the dark colours, thus clear lighting is needed.
Lighting is going to be very important whilst filming as I need to take into consideration that the music video will be in black and white. The forest scenes will be the most difficult to film as I will be dependent on natural light which will be fine unless it decides to rain. The scenes inside will be good to film as long as the filming is done in the day because I can use the artificial light that is in the room.
