3 Things That Could Have Gone Better With Filming

Obviously being the first music video I had ever shot not everything will go to plan, certain things did make the day difficult and will mean editing will have to be extra especially however the positives certainly outweigh the negatives.

One key problems which I technically tried to avoid was my poor acting, I did try to compensate this by having extreme close ups of my face avoiding seeing all my face (Mainly because it was hard to keep a straight face.). This is something I’m not too worried about as I believe the other visuals of the forest and body language will substitute the rubbish acting.

Another problem was the indoor scenes will not look as dark and creepy compared to the forests due to lack of flexibility in making the house look rough and suit the rest of the music video, however the black and white effect can do it some justice and there are no long shots of the entire room meaning it shouldn’t cause major effect to the music videos whole premises.

The last problem is I was table to film the entire scenes on the day as I wanted to meaning I have to go out on another day to film, which is difficult through I need continuity. Filming day was very sunny and coming into winter now means that sunny days will be less and less, although I thought I could film in the rain and try and make it look like it rained during the scene, it’s going to be very difficult in trying to make everything look the same on a different day filming.

In Conclusion, the problems in the filming are problems that can be fixed and wont single handily ruin the entire music video. If editing and the extra day filming go well then these problems will be less of a concern.
