3 Things That Went Well With Filming

Filming went well in number areas, planning and tests shots have helped very much in making the day run smoothly.

The test shots were probably the best things to happen for filming, the week prior to filming I was able to find the exact location in the forests and not have to worry about finding exactly where I wanted to film on the day.

The location in the forest was perfect as a shooting location through being so isolated from the public but still only a 50m from the main road. Having no public interference made filming run smoothly as we didn’t have to stop to wait for passers-by to go past, although where we filmed one scene looked like a tramps home with tarpaulin and an old mattress there, the filming location was a great choice. This can also be applied to the indoor scenes as obviously nobody else was there thus causing no interruptions.

The camera was a far more high quality camera that was great in getting higher quality shots compared to the smaller camera used for the test shots. The added features on the camera were also useful in focusing on certain object or me as the main character.

In conclusion, filming did go very well considered I had not shot a music video before, last year’s movie opening sequence had helped tremendously in learning the dos and don’ts for the filming day and made the day not as stressfully as I was thinking it was going to be.
