A music video does not have any positives compared to normal filming of a filming, personally its more harder but not having to worry about sound and you are able to use your imagination in making something very unconventional to most music videos and media products as a whole.
Not having to worry about sound is a huge positive in making the music video, as the song will be overplayed. Although where I filmed was very quiet, whilst filming you can shout instructions to help during filming for the actor and not having to worry if certain thing are picked up or not due to the small microphone on the camera. This does make it easier in filming as its one less thing to worry about and can make the res of the filming much better.
Across the years music video have been done with crazy, mad and original themes that have never been done before, from Lady Gaga to Daft Punk, their videos are nothing like you ever seen on TV or Film. This means you can go and in coming with a crazy idea for a music video and it’ll still successful as it attracts attention and sales for the song go up. Unlike a movie where you have to follow certain conventions of the genre, in a music video you can throw the handbook in how to make a music video right out the window.
In conclusion, to a degree you have more freedom in making a music video as you can have unconventional themes that have not been done before to present a certain emotion to the audience. This follow the idea that music video are created as promotion as this can attract attention of people through it being so unique making it viewed more and the popularity increases.
