Today I edited the Digipack; I have made 6 designs using Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/). I was able to make different designs with ease through using the program last year in creating a video game cover. 5 of the digipacks I have designed are very clear and I have focused on editing the photo without adding any filters, instead I played with the lighting and adjustments to make the image clearer and professional (instead of looking like layers of A4 paper across a box.). The one photo that I did heavily edit with a filter and might not be as clear compared to the other is the last one where I used a Kaleidoscope to create this vortex with the words. I gained inspiration from the Ni**ers In Paris Music Video by Jay Z and Kanye west which uses the editing technical (Differently to this), although at first in might be hard to read unlike the other, you can read the writing which is all over the cover. This is can be seen as conventional to the genre; The cover would be conventional through being unique and draw attentions to itself, many artists such as Kanye West with his Yeezus album don’t make the album clear, however it attracts huge attentions and gets people to buy it. The other covers I’ve done for this digipacks, fit under the conventional album cover of being clear and easy for the audience to understand to see who it is which is very important to digipacks as they are for promotional purposes.
