Gone Girl Poster

I’ve started looking at other media posters that have different formats for a poster. The reason I have done this is I don’t like how all music album adverts are the same (The album cover takes up most the page with information below or above for example Jessie J and Jay Z.), obviously I will take it into consideration when editing and I won’t create something completely different and unconventional. However many companies are making adverts that raise attention for being different or controversial that maybe poster that has some unconventional elements or is very eye catching is key to making a poster.
The reason I like the main poster for Gone Girl is could be an album cover instead of having Ben Affleck, plus I think it looks very professional, that gives all the information needed. The information of the film is still notable however the image takes most of the poster which is perfect as I’m advertising a product that’s picture is key. I’m planning a poster which features the cover art, unedited to the real album, so the audience know what the album looks like, however I want text on the screen to include the name of the song, artist’s, release date and the format you can buy it on.
I also want my poster to be made up of a few colours; as the Cd is only made up of black, white and red. The Gone Girl poster does this by feature very few colours, obviously the image contain more, however the layout and font features few. I can adapt this to my poster and have my poster suit the album colour scheme.
In conclusion, I can use this poster layout to my music poster as I love how it shows the image off most; however you can still have information and the title included. This poster shouldn’t be too hard to make, and using my Pixlr skills I might be able to make a few different versions if it works well but I’m not restricted with choice.
