Option 4 is based primarily based on research that showed me how many posters have the album cover on the poster but made bigger with extra detail. I did this by pasting the top section of the original album cover on the top and bottom of the album cover in order to fit the rectangle magazine format for the poster. The parts I posted were then rubbed out using the eraser tool but at 50% to make it fade this is then gives good clear space for the titles and information to go on. Similar to last two posters, I didn’t give a lot of information as I want the reader to look at the album cover more and not be too focused on all the information.
The poster by Jay Z for The Blueprint 3 was a big influence, as he used his album cover but makes it bigger to fit the format of a poster. I couldn’t follow this exactly though my album cover being far more detailed the eraser tool was used. The album cover is far bigger compared to the last posters as the audience will look at cover first and not be distracted by other information, plus from a distance you will see the cover first which is important as this is the main product being advertised.
I like this cover a lot through focusing on the album and not being consumed by details in the poster, instead key information on the release date and what format you can buy it on are the only other pieces of information along with the title. I think this is the best form of advertising (Which I can support with my research.) as most posters only have key promotion information and nothing about the song itself or a track list.
In conclusion, this poster is very good at promoting the product (Just the product.) as the album cover takes up the entire poster but information on the product is still possible which I like as the audience still gets the key information in when to buy it. The album covers detail and how it is so unconventional also contributes to making this catch the reader’s attention.
