Editing for my poster has had it benefits and its drawbacks, I’m using the same program which I used for my album cover which made it easy to grasp how to edit and create a good poster, however the problem was trying to come up with different designs, I researched showed me that most posters are the same meaning I could do much in sticking with the conventional elements of the poster as they were all the same and restricted to one design of poster. This made it hard to edit as I made many posters but just deleted them as after 5 minutes I realised it was the same as the others. This is why some of my posters are very unconventional and inspired by other media posters such as film posters.
Although I delated so many covers after 5 minutes and just kept redoing it over and over again, I did get to experiment a lot and make many designs quick and easily through knowing the program so well. Plus even though I knew the program well, I was still able to learn more and able to use them in editing, for example learning I can have the eraser tool but with the setting of not making it super strong and instead just make it fade the image.
In conclusion, editing to make a poster was very good as I could use the program quickly and efficiently, however trying to make something that I liked was difficult as most magazine posters were the same which made it very restrictive in using the conventional elements.
