Inside 1.jpg

This is my first inside cover for my digipack; this was created using the Pixlr program and using the original image for my front cover of my digipack. However this time I applied the kaleidoscope effect twice to make the text very pixilated. Then I duplicated the picture to fit each side of the cover; however I didn’t want the same picture on each side so the side with the album cover is edited less of the detail. When the CD is added the pattern would be covered on that side, as the CD would be red with the titles of the song, this means the CD bring more attention and is not covered in the pattern on the other side. However when the Cd is taken out, the pattern underneath is shown which connects the inside cover together.

The pattern links in with the front and back of my digipack through its vortex pattern, the colours are slightly with less detail as the front and back need to stand out more and bring attention. Furthermore, the effects links in with my poster for the magazine cover through the colour red is both on the poster and prominent in the digipack, its important to have the poster ad digipack link otherwise they could look like to the audience the promotion of two different products which could confuse audiences. Finally the use of the vortex links with the music video through linking with the main characters journey of being surrounded by the thoughts of violent colours for example red and black surrounding him with no clear idea of what’s ahead of him (through the pixilated centre of the vortex. ).

In conclusion, I really like this inside cover; through linking with album covers design but still bring something different in, being far less detailed compared to the album cover and finally, the pattern links together and fits with the rest of the album cover.
